I have a 2000 grand prix GT with a N/A 3.8, the trans is bad and I am going to swap it out, my question is I already have a transmission that i know works good out of a 98 buick regal ls, would this work in the grand prix and function properly, if not what would need to be done. Also I have a grand prix GTP, whats the interchange on the transmission for GTP cars.

The regal trans will work but you might have different connections on the trans lines. The gtp trans has a different gear ratio so that won't work without a tune.

Thanks for the quick responce,
And on the GTP trans swap i didnt make myself very clear, i was wondering if my GTP trans goes out and i would want to swap it out, would all year GTP transmissions work or not?

97-02 trans are the same except for the lines.
