OK so ne way my car overheated like 3 weeks ago runs like dirt still runs untill I get the cash to turbo/top swap and do some major rebuilding.

Anyway the trans runs fine if it is cold once the trans heats up to about 140* it stops shifting into OD fully. The car runs about 2k rps at 55mph when normally its at about 1700 and if I push the accelerator just a little bit (say going up a hill) it jumps massive rpms 400-700 rpm or so when it usually only jumps up maby 100-200.

Once it starts this if I shift the car into neutral and back into drive about 3-6 times it drops fully back into OD. Sometimes it don't but if I acc to about 65 put it in neutral and then back into drive it drops into OD. Once I slow down in a town to about 30-35 for about a mile and speed back up it starts doing the same thing. Then I do the shift thing and it works.

Trans. was replaced about 80k miles ago with a rebuild gm pile of junk lol. Trans fluid looks fine smells fine and is not low. Every now and then it pops up input shaft speed sensor code and was wondering if that could have anything to do with it. If so how would I go about changing that and would I have to pull the tranny to do so. Thanks for the help appreciate it.

Having an input speed sensor code would create a lot of problems with the tranny in shifting. You may want to do some electrical testing of the sensor and its wiring back to the PCM or better yet, monitor the input shaft speed with a capable scanner.
