    I was wondering whats the best torque converter out there? and im not looking to spend $700 on a billet one.

    also whats the best stall speed for this set up while still being streetable.

    Stage 3 heads and cam, IC, 2.8 pulley, slicks?

    If you're running slicks and at the track a lot, I knew a guy that was running a 3000 stall zzp converter running 12.3's in his Bonneville. He was happy with that. As far as being streetable, you could drive it on the street but it'll probably be a little slippery.

    I have a 2500 stall from ZZP and I like it. Works just fine.
    2001 GTP - 3.4" pulley, Headers, welded in flowmaster mufflers, Tune, Intake, SSC/AGX, Engine/Trans mount spacers, GMPP F/R Swaybar, 17" Rims, Built trans: 3.29 gears, 2500 stall, ect ect (built by Billboost)

    Swiggs.. For reference, I always had a 3000 stall.

    On the price vs quality. That's a decision you need to make. Was the converter in your trans an ATI? My preference has become Precision based on a bunch of discussions with 4-5 trans builders.
    I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
