just when you think everythings done something else happens, so im driving home today and my CEL comes on, i figure no big deal ill throw it on the scanner tommorow at school, well about 5 miles later taking off from a light as soon as it shifted into second it feels like the torque converter locks up, and stays locked through the 2-3 3-4 shift. when im slowing down it bogs the motor down with it also. i pulled the tcc fuse and it went into reverse just fine, but i couldnt feel it engage in drive and it did not want to move forward at all without that fuse in, replaced it and i can get about 5 miles out of it until it starts to warm up then the torque converter starts locking up way to early. i can get in it hard and it will downshift and unlock the tc adn perform like it should, it also is unlocking because at a 50mph cruise i can tap the brakes and see the rpms jump and feel it unlock. any input? thanks guys

Sounds like the TCC is staying locked on. Holler as to what the code is when you pull it.

got it on the scanner today, and its pulling up a p0742, and a p1860. seeing as all the electronics in the trans are new im thinking a short to ground or bad ground possibly in the trans harness?

maybe..what are those codes? I don't recognize the 1860 and I forget if 742 is TCC stuck on or incorrect gear ratio.

the 1860 is showing that the tc pwm is receiving less than proper voltage, which im assuming should be 12v, it lists a possibility as an open of a short in the harness, i ran it today with a snap on scanner hooked up and it was showing the tcc engage as on all the time, it flipped off for a split second as soon as it went into drive and then went right back to on. no different in reverse either. the 742 is tcc stuck on after requested off by ecm
