Was only used for less then 1k miles (or so the seller says). Any reason to buy it and save 200 bucks over a new one?

Trannyman, what do you think about the ATI converter?

You never know the condition unless you know the car it came from and why it's being sold.

What is wrong the converter you have now? Any used converter is a coin toss and other than the ZZP converters I am not a fan of any of the available converters for the 4T65E except the performance ones that I offer now. I have seen and read about way too many failures with very low miles on the converters. Whether it worked good or not is one thing, how much longer will it last for you? As I have always said with torque converters you get what you pay for. Being a transmission builder I would never use a used converter that I didnt personally know the history and internal transmission condition of, stock or aftermarket. Any thread that I have been asked about converters over the last 5 years will have the same answer, there is really no reason not to use a stock converter in a GTP unless A: You have NO tire spin FULL THROTTLE from a dead stop, B: You are running very low 12s/ high 11s and the converter needs to be built stronger to last longer with the higher power levels, or C: You put a turbo on it and need a higher stall speed to work with the turbo size and reduce lag. Im not trying to frown on your thoughts on buying this but facts are facts

Thats pretty much why I want to get another converter. Ive got a ZZP 2500 now, I want a 3000 or 3200.

Ahh, now that I read your sig I see that you are turboed lol. Sorry you probably already told me that but I talk to too many people and cant remember everything! You are going to need a looser converter for a turbo that size to make it work better which you already know now if the car is together with your current converter and turbo setup.
