Just bought my transmission filter and some Supertech ATF (say's it can be used in GM models pre-2006 transmissions on the bottle). (Suitable for use in all General Motors transmissions where Dexron-II & III, Mercon fluids are specified.

I'm just curious as to what kind of job it is to change the tranny filter. Is it something I can do myself or should I pay someone to change it?

& what is the right kind of fluid to use in it. I don't want to ruin the trans due to wrong selection of fluid.

All & any tips and hints would be helpful

    Thanks
