I have a 2000 gtp and the trans keeps sliping when it gets hot. it will slowly start sliping then it wont pull at all. I can let it set for 20 mins and its fine for a short time then it repets all over again. I put a bottle of lucas trans treatment in it i usual dont belive in that kinda stuff but i was out of town and needed to get home. I need help I dont know weather to change the trans or is there anyway to fix it. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

ps sorry if i listed this in the wrong place im new to this forms

You could change the fluid and filter and put two bottles of the lucas stop slip in it and you might be fine for a little while but you will need to replace it sooner or later.

it might cause it to overheat. even if you do put the stop leak in, its only a bandade for your problems then tranny needs to be rebuilt at this point
