Ok I've searched the forums for a while and can not figure out what what my 2001 Gp 3.1L auto with 160k I have had the car for 5+ cars and with in the last year I have been experiencing some problems with the car.
Here is some background info, in last year Replaced so far Both hubs(but wires ripped so not plugged in) Both cv axles, fuel filter, tps, Iac, Maf. Bout 2 years ago i replaced EGR.
Problem I was having was car would run for 5 seconds and then die no matter what you would do, NO security light or SES light was on, you would have to reset the computer with the key in the on position. and it would work for a while but mess up intermediately and have to reset it again. Well I just ended up unplugging the wires from the key to the pasloc3 and it starts just fine now but new huge problem has started.
When you take off it is stuck in 1st will rev up to red line and bounce off the red line and will not shift until you let it off the gas and then it will shift when the rpms get back down, only seems to happen in first, when I am on the highway and stand on it it shifts just fine through all the other gears. does not happen all the time.
the only code there seems to be is for clogged cat(wife had it read at o's when i was otr). I'm gonna read the codes again tomorrow and find out if any new codes, I herd the cat can cause problems or shift solenoid,
the speedometer(lol) works, stock size rims and tires. I know there is a lot of info here but i wanted to make sure i advised of everything that i have done and tried to save time for Q&A. Any help would be great willing to try about anything. I've had this car for a while and would like to have for a long time to go.
