Is it worth my time and effort to swap the trans out of my '03 gpse 3.1 and drop in a HD trans from a gtp? Many of you would ask why, but auto tranny's make me paranoid. I'm more wondering if the wiring would be similar...i don't mind a slight modification to make it fit.
I believe i will have to get a different passenger side CV shaft, but other than that, what is entailed into the swap?

You'll also need some tuning; the gear ratio's are different I believe. 3.29's in SEs and GTs and 2.93 in GTPs. I know that some Regals and other W-Bodies got a 3.05, but I'm unsure of the specifics. Also, your harness may need some tweaks.
    Good luck!

Check with Dave at TEP to findout the possibility. 03 is an odd duck year and it may not be easy and straight forward from the actual trans perspective.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
