Im looking at buying a new gtp, its a 1998 gtp the problem is that when floored the car revs to 4,500 rmp and stays, it will not shift until you let off the gas. The car drives decent While driving normal, but when you floor it, the car will not shift no matter what, until you let off the gas. You can let off the gas just a little bit and it will shift.

I asked the guy whats wrong and he told me the trans is out of a chevy venture van. he does not know why it is doing this.

would using a venture van transmission cause the problem it having? Or could it be something else? what should i look for.

    how can it be fixed.
