i have a 2000 gtp coupe with 133000 (odometer acting weird but thats another issue). when the engine is cold it drives normal, after heating up, when coming to a stop at a light or something as its shifting down through its 3-2-1 gears its like it slips and jerks as if its hitting the gas for half a second before it catches the next gear down. finaly when it gets into first gear and i come to a stop and idles, the rpm's will fluctuate between 200 and 1500 rpms for a second before leveling out to a ~700 rpm smooth idle. it upshifts just fine and has no issues as far as hard shifting even when flooring it. just want some insight as to what the problem is. thanks!

The best way to try to track down the cause of this would be with a scan tool and if you dont have one it would be best left by someone knowledgeable that can check it out for you. You need to make sure the engine is running correctly and it isnt just the engine causing this to happen. If the engine and sensors check out ok and are working as they should then you could have a TCC (torque converter clutch) problem and it is staying applied while you are slowing down which will cause the engine to fight it and keep from stalling. A scan tool that shows transmission data will also show data to help prove or disprove this is going on as you can watch tcc operation and rpm slippage and also what gear is being commanded.

theres also a problem with hard braking in snow. when i apply medium to hard brakes in snow, the brake pedal drops down to the floor erratically. braking normally dont do this. now i know from past experience that i may have a bad wheel hub. is there a sensor in the wheel hub that could effect my shifting problem and the abs or brakes at the same time?
