Last night was the first time I ran this car. It's a Completely stock 2005 GTP Comp G.

In drive, the car hits the rev limited going from 1st to 2nd. It's only an 1/8 mile track so I don't know if this would've happened in the other gears. Anyway, it did this just about every time for about 5 or 6 runs. The rest of the night I used TAP shift and it worked fine. I've been told by one person that this could be a vacuum leak. Just looking for suggestions and also, specifically where to check for leaks would be appreciated. I've had this car since April and I'm not completely familiar with it yet.

Yes I have. And, I've noticed this issue maybe once or twice. But, thought it was just a weird thing that happened those couple times. At the track it did it consistently.

i thought, but i am not sure on this, that tap shift cars will redline every gear at WOT throttle because they are designed for the use of the tap shift

i could be wrong either way im gonna learn something too
