Thread: List of compatible transmissions 4T65E 2000 GP GT 3.8 N/A

Does anybody has a list of compatible transmissions (i mean with few minor to none modifications/alterations) for a 2000 Grand Prix GT 3.8L N/A?

I found a lot of 4T65E used transmissions on line and i like to know if there are compatible with minor to none modifications.
Also there are some codes used parts search engines have for my year & model like BCB BRB and some same trans for other GM models like APB etc.
I don't know what those codes mean but there will be a list with a description of those types.

I actually came across this tonight, I am also looking to replace the trans in my 2000 GT. Tripleedgeperformance has an excellent reputation. Kudos to all the info he provides and for that I will buy everything I can through him.

I was under the impression that these would all fit and work in our cars, I was 100% wrong.

If you're looking to keep your 3.29 gears, you can use
98-02 GT
98-02 9c1 Impala (cop/taxi)
98-02 3.5l Intrigue/Aurora
98-02 Venture, Silhouette, Trans Sport, Montana, Aztek, Rendezvous

Some of the years may vary, but I like to keep it within that range just cause in 97 and 03 a lot of changes were done to the 4t65 and it's not worth the hassle to make it compatible (wiring, pcm swap, etc)
