does anybody know how to test the resistance of the epc solenoid while tranny is still fully assembled through the transmission connector right under the abs computer?

can anybody help me with this question? I've read that the pressure control solenoid on transmission should have a resistance of 3-5 when cold and 5-6 when hot. I am going to check this with a voltmeter tomorrow, the thing is that most of the electrical connections on my car have that white oxide stuff on either the terminals or pins. do you think the oxide could've been altering the resistance that the pcm receives all this time and could've been causing my morning long shifts?
