i have a gtp that needs a tranny, i found a tranny with really low miles but its from a 02 century that has a 3.1. it says it has a 4t65e in it, i know about the computer programing, even though its a 4t65e will it fit if its from a 3.1

There are a few other issues, though. Your GTP is going to use the HD diff, so you'll either need a new passenger side axle, or you'll need to swap over your diff, output shaft, and extension housing. It will also have different gearing, but I assume that's what you meant when you said you knew about the computer programming. You'll also want to use your stock torque converter, of course, as I'm pretty sure the Century used the 245mm bolt pattern where your GTP uses the 258mm pattern.
That's all I can think of off the top of my head, I'm sure Bill will catch anything I missed.
