When Im at like 60% throttle and it shifts, afterwards the car stays at like 2800-3000 rpms for maybe a second or two and then it gets past 3k rpms and just takes off. Is it normal? Or is this because of the 3k stall and not having anything adjusted in the PCM? If this is the case, what should I change? I can get video of the problem if necessary. This is my first built up transmission so I'm weery about it.

I also have a loud scratching/screeching noise at low rpms (like from a stop, stopping for a stoplight, or going around a slow corner). Im gonna take a look at the brakes because it sounds to be coming from there. But it could also be the transmission, it's hard to tell. It doesn't do it when it's stopped so it leads to me brakes, and my pads are pretty worn. The transmission fluid is full as well.

    All help is appreciated.

What exactly do you mean that it drops to 2800-3000 rpm and then takes off? I guess I am not seeing the problem here as the rpms are going to drop to that after a shift. Is there a bog or power loss feeling after each shift? The rpms dont really say a whole lot if there is an issue. Most guys turn up the TCC apply speed tables in the pcm when going to a higher stall speed than stock. Do you have any trans codes in the pcm since the install? Did you change gear ratio and not adjust the pcm?

I guess it's more like a bogging. No transmission codes and I kept the same gear ratio. How much should I up the tables?

Changing the lockup tables is more personal preference than anything but most guys turn it off completely in 3rd and set it up in the 50mph range in 4th, but its up to you. That doesnt sound like your problem and I know what you are referring to. Do you have a scan while this is happening? What does timing and fuel do when this happens? It is more or a torque management issue and power loss from what it sounds like than a trans issue.

    Here is the scan.

transmissionscan from biggie -- Scan Depot dot net

I noticed the timing drops to 0 and below.

Here is a video of it happening.

I went back to one of my really old tunes and it has fixed the problem. Time to get this thing tuned in as the race season is only a few weeks away!
