Hi all. I have been having some problems with my transmission shifting from 3rd to 4th gear and from 4th the 3rd once it heats up. It especially happens when on an incline like a bridge or steep hill. I can get up to 3rd no problem but when i ease off on the gas to get it to shift into 4th or OD , whichever you call it, the RPM bounce up and down by a few hundred and the whole car feels as though it is lurching and shaking all over the road. I can get it to shift into 4th if I jam down the gas pedal however and then let off again quickly. I just had the PCS solenoid replaced last year, along with the solenoid housing. Its now just out of warranty and I dont want to spend another $1500 having it fixed if it could be something else....Any advice?
*Edit* Now i find that while I am trying to shift from 4th to 3rd, if I touch the brakes enough to turn the lights on, but not enough to brake, the tranny will switch gears no problem. Ideas?
