Call this an offshoot of this thread, and taking it "in reverse":

Suppose I wanted to drop a 2003/2004 transmission into a 1998 H-body. From looking at the thread above and other sources (especially the tripleedge website), it seems I would need to swap in (from a 98-ish trans):
-Valve body with 2-piece pump, multiple fluid pressure switch, separator plate
-EPC solenoid
-Harness
And install an external shift selector switch.
What about channel plate differences? I'm unclear on that, even after reading the tripleedge website.
And what exactly would I need to do to adapt the cooler line fittings on a 2003/2004 trans to work with the 1998?
Anything else I'm overlooking here?
(Again, note that I'm not worried about gear ratios and TC/stall...I've got the DHP powertuner for that)
Thanks for any info.
EDIT: Maybe I need to be more clear what I'm trying to do. I have a 1998 H-Body (LeSabre) and a 2004 H-Body (LeSabre). I am looking to do an engine and trans build that will go into the 1998 now, and can be transferred over as a unit (with maybe a few swapped trans parts) to the 2004 in a few years. I think I'm OK with the engine part...it's the trans part I need massive help with. I already have a complete 1998 4T65E-HD (out of a Regal GS) that can be used for donor parts; I'm thinking that for this "master plan" of mine, Id also want to pick up a 2003/2004 4T65E and do the trans build using that one as a base.
