I got a '97 GTP with 91k , I bought it from my brother about 4 months ago. I have a slipping/chattering first if you pull off hard, the fluid is still bright red and clean , it was rebuilt at about 50k buy the dealer. I can't believe that a "Performance Car" has such a crappy tranny. Should I not drive it until I get it looked at or will it not make a difference? Also when I get it repaired/rebuilt is there're anything you can do to make it stronger so it will last.
    Thanks,
    Mark

since the tranny was rebuilt about 40,000 miles ago, then whatever is wrong with the tranny should be a simple fix. Unless your brother was very hard on the tranny since he had it rebuilt.

No he drove like a old lady .. I did a couple of burn outs couple
weeks ago that's prolly what did it. I'm gonna take it to the shop
and have them look at it today.

If it is, then you must have upgraded the transmission as to prolong the life of the already very weak transmission.

If your car is working properly you shouldn't have to use additives.
