ohh and by the way I don't speed like this all the time. This is just to show you all what it's doing. Sometimes it kinda acts wierd driving normal to. But it's not consistant. It will sometimes feel like it will late shift into 3rd or even feel kinda rubberbandish if that makes any sense lol

Any info you can give about the car will help out such as mod list, pcm if other than stock, perf shift on or off, how many miles, any trouble codes. Do you have access to a scan tool to watch live trans data while you make a run? The 2-3 shift looks very weak but the shift rpm also looks pretty low so I am going to assume you have a stock or very mildly changed pcm, OR it was not in Perf shift mode on that run. It looks like lockup may be trying to apply after the shift which can happen with a plugged up tcc solenoid which is very rare to see, but could also be slipping 3rd clutch and it simply doesnt want to hold under a WOT load.

Yea. I had a friend of mine dhp tune my pcm and changed the shift points to 5750rpm cause I wanted to play it safe with to much of a change but him doing that made it alot better than it was when I got the car. As far as mods, all I have done to it is FWI, 180 t-stat, dhp tune, autolite 104's, u-bend delete, flowmaster 40 catbacks (I believe). I was going to drop to a 3.5" pulley and change tranny fluid and filter but debating whether or no to put a shift kit in there. Thanks trannyman for the help

Your 2-3 shift was under 5500 rpm on that vid. The stock 2-3 upshift RPM in normal and perf mode for a 98 GTP is 5275 rpm so I would believe that more than 5750 unless you made the change after that vid. You definately need to be able to scan the car to watch your 02s, fuel trims, KR, timing, map sensor output (to translate to boost) and transmission data would help also. A few times I ran into spark plug issues and a 3rd gear problem like this but only after a pulley drop. What did you gap the spark plugs at? I know it sounds simple but I have seen similar behavior before.

I have gapped my autolite 104's at .052. And the video was actually talken last night. I am going to have my friend check the pcm again to see if he accidently did something to that gear, but it was definetly doin that same thing when I had bought the car (like 3 weeks ago). Also if I were to take off at a stoplight and slowly take off and also slowly lay into the gas, it will jerk into 1st. But if I drive it normal, it's perfectly fine. But when I reach 3rd and give it a little gas it will kinda feel rubberbandish I guess is the best way to explain it, untill it downshifts into 2nd kinda like its sticking. Srry its the best way I can explain it haha
