I had my trans completely rebuilt in my 2000 gtp. The trans itself is perfect. My problem is now my power locks do not lock or unlock while shifting to and from park. They only work with the button or the key fob. Also my trunk release inside the car and on the key fob doesnt work. All this happened when I got the trans done. Can anyone give me any suggestions as where to look to remedy this issue.

My 2000 GTP transmission recently was rebuilt, also.
Now that the Transaxle is installed, two security problems have popped up. The first, I have resolved the second, I have not. I am afraid any person with any PK3 key for any other PK3 car now has a master ignition PK3 key to my car. Is there something I can do?

The first problem is that "neither (of two)" PK3 keys for this vehicle (both previously programmed and fully functional) is now recognized by the "security system". Inserting either PK3 key into the ignition causes the “security system” light to start blinking, indicating an "intrusion" has occurred. The "security system" light never "times out" or stops blinking as it should with a valid PK3 key inserted in the ignition. This indicates the vehicle’s security has been activated.

This "first" problem is now resolved using:

“30 Minute Relearn Procedure (Steps): This is for a "replacement" (new) key (no original available)”

The "second" problem, revealed by the "first" problem, is that both PK3 keys (not recognized as evidenced by the “security system" light) started and allowed the car to continue running! The tricky part of this whole thing is:

"The second" problem is still there but, is now "concealed" by the "first's resolution". The vehicle’s security "had been" activated. The "security system" light was still blinking. THE CAR IS STILL RUNNING and "it should not be running", unless "PK3 key security" has been "MODIFIED FOR SOMETHING". There is no audible sound coming from the car's horn or from the "security system".
This is really quite convenient for me if "I AM" THE INTRUDER.
So, what happens when it's the real thing?
    Does this sound familiar?
Has anyone actually found the physical location (in the car) that is resposible? Would you be able provide pics (if possible)?
If so please let me here from you. Any feedback will be appreaciated, positive or otherwise.
