01 grand prix 3.8 gt not going into 4th gear at all

if anyone has any advice on anything to try it would be appreciated. i just bought the car yesterday it's an 01 3.8 gt non supercharged with 215 000 kms. paid the guy,, got to the highway and no 4th gear. also i have a 98 3.8 gt, can the tranny from it be put in the 01. thanks alot guys.

sounds like the 4th gear went on the tranny.

that tranny should work.

do you think that other parts will be interchangable? like brake calipers and the hood and mufflers?
