I replaced the drivers side cv axle shaft and when i pulled the old one out no fluid leaked out. Now it is leaking from the shaft. Is the seal inside or outside the housing?

improper installation, try again, and don't fail at it. better option would be to consult someone that knows what they're doing to do it for you.
