I have an 06 GP GT that is supercharged. It has 34,000 miles on it and I am going to be changing the transmission oil/filter (no flush) and would like to install a shift kit. My questions are:

    1. Which one? ZZP? Wbody? 3800 Performance? Other?
    2. Are they all the same?
    3. Are any computer mods required?

I'm not interested in building my own, I just want to buy the parts and put it in while I'm there.

Research the DIY shift kit if you are tight on money. It's just some shims for the accumulator. I bought a W-Body store one, because I was lazy. Its super easy to do.

However, many will recommend to get the kits that replace the springs as well. I personally have not gone down that route.... maybe someone will chime in.

Intense doesn't seem to make a lot of people very happy (generally speaking).

Should I really be looking at a kit with the springs?

If you buy the ZZP shift kit you've just wasted your money. I bought it, its 4 or 5 little plastic sleeves that go over the shaft. If you want to do it cheap then check out the DIY shift kits as they are exactly the same. If you want to get a good shift kit go intense or trans-go.

If your not, then your not looking at a proper shift kit.
