recently the passenger side of my tranny has been leaking and dripping off the sub frame...everything in that area is wet with fluid and i cant tell where its coming from. at first i figured it was coming from the axle seal so i replaced it but its still leaking so now i have no idea... all i can see from under the hood is that the plastic shield thing in front of the harmonic balancer is wet and the top of the subframe is wet... any ideas where it could possibly be leaking from?

Being that you posted this in the transmission section. I started thinking it was from the trans.

Are you leaking oil or trans fluid?
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

The power steering hoses are in this area also so check them closely. On a few rare occasions I have seen where the trans cooler went bad in the radiator and caused transmission fluid to overfill the radiator and it dumps into the overflow tank and then it fills to the point where it leaks out of the overflow spout on the tank and will leak straight down the strut tower and onto the cradle area.

so i found out where the leak was coming from, theres a pretty decent-sized hole in the pass. side diff cover...after taking the cover off and inspecting the diff. i found that the spider gears are all chewed up and if i drove it any further the whole diff. probably would have blown up. also the large pin that holds the spider gears is split in half!! ill get pics up later... anyone got an hd diff for sale?
