My cat's a good guy, for some reason all he wanted to do was rub up against the differential housing. It was hard as hell to keep him away from it, I had to box it up just to stop him.

Yeah, I remember those pics. You need to start an engine carnage thread, it would be good to re-live the moment, LOL.
Well I'll let him post any pics he wants, but I dont think his was far off.
I have to many to post. All my pictures will overload and destroy the server.
Don't tempt me. Bwahahahahahhaha
Ohhh, Im a temptin'.
Still haven't had the time to tear into it yet, but here's the preliminary
Eeeeeks. At least my diff cover was still intact and I dont have a CV axle leak.
Even HD diffs will fail with enough burnouts. All it takes is one wheel spinning and other sitting still and you're in a heap of trouble.
And if it was a LSD, then they're unreliable anyway.
Neat pics though, if its any consolation.
This was my was from july '09. I had tim king rebuild it and he said that he hadn't seen these parts go bad too often. There were other bad parts, but i only kept these parts. Now, i've got a built tranny w/ ZZP internals and is rated up to 400HP. Pics are a little outta focus, sorry. My camera was messing up that day.
looks familiar hahaha
There are only 2 good Diffs/LSD's that I'd recommend over the stock HD Diff. A torsen diff or Quaife diff is a step up from the stock HD diff.
Torsen>Quaife>stock
ah this thread is scaring me since im still on my stock trans...not like im pushing enough power to make it explode...but still.
