    The torque conveters will work on an HD or non HD trans just fine, so someone could have changed the converter, but remember that the FLHB will have a smaller bolt pattern than the stock HD converter and a modified or specific flexplate must be used.

    i found out the hard way on that , but instead of drilling and modding the flex plate i just ordered the correct TC (JTFM) and a new seal and installed now it fits properly.
