Hi to all of you, ime new to this forum pretty new to the country of Canada and pretty new to all these american cars, so heres my question:-

I have a 1999 GT 3800 and when cruising at 100KPH the RPM gauge reads just over 2000RPM'S and at 110KPH it reads 2250RPM'S, i may be being paranoid as well but it almost feels like the tourqe converter does not really lock up as well in top gear. it just seems rather high to be a cruising speed??

Could anybody shed any light on this problem or am i just bieng paranoid???

P.S. I am origionaly From Untited Kingdom and emigrated here with wife and kids, love the summers hate the winters.
    Thanks for any help.

when crusing just tap your brake pedal enough to set the brake lights. Not even enough to slow down. Your rpms should jump up a little that is the converter unlocking.

That sounds about right for a GT. You're probably just fine.

No problem, that is a test we do after any tranny service.
