Ok ive got a 98 gp. Im replacing the trans and needing to know what is the newest year i can go with? So can i put a tranny out of an 04 gp in my 98 gp with out any mods. Thanks for any help.

You can use up to an 02 trans as a direct drop in. 03+ models have different internal electrics and use a different style pressure control solenoid and must be used with an 03 PCM which some guys have done without problems. The important thing to do is get the ID tag info off of your original trans and one that you are looking at and either post up on here or send me an email with this info so we can help let you know if it will be compatible as there are different gear ratios in the all models and if you dont replace your original trans with a matching gear ratio trans it will cause problems.
