My 4th hear clutch is gone and Just wanting to ask anyone that has replaced 4th gear clutch in a gtp, its going increase MPG but by how much? The reason why I ask is because I baby mine and drive 80% highway and get anywhere from 18-20 MPG. Now with a 4th gear what should I expect as far as an increase? I know people are going to talk about driving styles and things. I only get on it like once a week. Also I'm very curious to how much you guys are getting out of a full tank of gas. Thanks for any help TJ

I get 20-22 in the city, and 26-32 highway depending on speed, hills, wind, cruisecontrol, traffic. I dont quit understand when you say "replaced 4th gear" as in replaced with what? I always use OD except in heavy traffic at speeds below say 50, I like to keep the RPM up a little for quick burst of excell, never know when you need it.

You can't change individual gears in the transmission to a higher gear ratio. But to answer your question if you have a GTP already then you already have the highest gear ratio possible as far as MPG's go or crusing RPM's rather..

Sorry I guess I should of made it a little clearer my 4th gear clutch is out and I am debating on wheather or not to fix it or just get rid of the car. If it will improve the gas mileage enough I will keep it.

Oh this definitely something I'm going to go myself. I would be happy getting 25-26 mpg as an average. What are you guys getting out of a full tank
