yes i found a 4t65e hd tranny in a 00' GTP and was gonna drop it or pop it!!as in,pulling the engine and tranny out up top or just dropping the tranny out the bottom.which is quicker and easier in yalls opinions.i am thinkin pulling the engine/tranny combo would be faster and easier but, this is y i am askin and please explain a little on how to do both in your opinions i appreciate it.btw,my car is a 98' GTP so my cooler lines should be the only difference.

as far as the tranny goes, i would pull the engine and tranny together out the top, but if you were just messing with the engine, it can come out separately from the tranny, but not sure if the clearance is there to do it the other way around, or worth it for that matter.

For just swapping the trans, out the bottom would be the way to go, IMO.

depends what you have for tools. I think everything out top is easier. It takes a few people to put the tranny back in through the bottom. 1 person could easily get it out the top and put it back in with a cherry picker and a load leveler. 2 people without a leveler unless you get lucky.
