Does anyone know how to hook up the perf shifter to a 2003 grand prix gt with the non hd tranny?

You will need a pcm with the performance shift table turned on. Just hooking up the wire and the shifter knob with the button wont make it work. If you already have a modified pcm with this added post back and I will try to get a pick of the connector and the wire. You have to add a wire to one of the pcm connectors and run that wire into the car to the shifter, it is a blue wire. The other wire on the button can be tied to ground.

Only if the pcm is programmed with two profiles, and really it is just changing the shift setup. 01+ cars didnt come with this and basically the normal and perf shift tables were merged. It gives you the ability to have two completely different transmission settings. You would have one pretty mild shift firmness table with lower shift points in normal mode and firmer shifts with higher shift points in Perf shift mode. I used to like the idea of the switch but anymore its just as easy to tune one table and have the best of both depending on your driving style. Since you have a newer car the shift points would be identical on the Perf setting and likely dropped back on normal, or normal could stay the same as what you have now and Perf would give higher shift points and firmer shift feel. It really depends how the pcm is tuned and that doesnt mean that you cant get the same performance without the button in the car.
