I posted the other day but cant find it.... anyway my 07 na 3800 is leaking right in front of the stat housing under the upper manifold(plenum). I took it off and thought i fixed it. Filled it w coolant and again the valleys on the lim are filled w coolant. Leads me to beleive that ot must be the hole in the lim that flows thru the plenum around the little access door below egr. Im at my wits end w this..... i thought the lim had more than 1 nipple going into the plenum. Am i right?? The nipple i mean that connects to the plenum to the flexible boot after air filter.
I wanna take a hammer to it but maybe il wait til i hear any feedback lol

you need to seal the threads of the lim bolts with pipe thread sealant.

tb has coolant run through it as well. its gasket can leak and look like its a leak from down lower. that box under the egr has a gasket, it can also fail, coolant does flow through the area.

I managed to fix it. The old gasket oring was stuck to lim. Didnt notice. so now it doesnt leak which is good. But my heater core has air. Supply line is hot return isnt. So last night i took both core lines off flushed it good. Made sure both lines has coolant before attaching them. Still the same, one line hot..... so i let it run for awhile bleeding it a good 12 times. Not too make things worse but i took it out today and now theres a high idle. Didnt touch iac or maf. I dunno man,

water pump maybe dead. the impellar rots away to nothing and dont move coolant so well any more.

hydro lock is coolant in the cylinder, then it fights to turn over when you crank it cause it full of fluid.

    Didnt hydro lock thats good.
I drove it w loose rad cap, i can see the coolant moving around in the rad. I kno the pump is original. Wont hurt to swap it out. Maybe il get a pro. Flush. Getting cold now and w a 5 yr old, it isnt fun lol.
Il search but if any1 here ever heard of adding a bleeder lemme kno. Im in hvac and there several types oof bleeders. Gonna do searching and see. Is it worth documenting and posting here we shall see lol

Pull the t stat out and make sure the lim is full to the top. It's not very common for the heater core lines to have air like you are experiencing.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

After i finished the gaskets i didnt bleed it properly i just filled the rad capped it and left. Laziness lol. I slowly pulled off the return hose while it was running and i think it did the trick. Wont do that again.
