how hard is it to replace this wiring harness:
I just bought a used tranny with 89K on it and the plug at the top is busted. I can get the part for around 45 bucks, I'm just not sure if there is more to it then it seems. It doesnt look that hard once I take out the bolts to seperate the transmission case.

Other than that Im not sure what else can be done. I have searched for sources on that connector before and have not come up with anything, so it usually involves buying the whole harness unfortunately. I would also check with Dave Norris aka Trannyman95 as he is the transmission expert here, he can probably help out a whole lot better than I.

thank you syntheticI found a place I can get the whole harness for 45 bucks including shipping, I was just curious to know how hard it is to replace it..

I don't think it's bad at all. All the connectors unclip and the connector looks like it has a screw or something holding it in.
I'd be cautious of a used harness. The plastic clips become brittle with heat and age and can crack easily.

Where did you find that at, Id buy one or two myself for that price. I got two trannies in the garage and thats a good price.thank you synthetic
