the GMR in front of me is a Morse (on link plates) hy-vo with a squirrel figure in profile after the vo (this may be a batch demarcation)

046 74607 is on the dark blue link. chain measures 1.060 OD from outer guide plate to outer guide plate .940 across the id

A 1" open end wrench will not fit around a 1" chain. But it will fit on the 15/16 and 7/8.

I received the chain today it does appear to be an authentic chain but it was sold to me as new and was wondering what you guys thought and how much play a new gmr would have between links. Also seems to have wear marks on one side.

Whoops. The only way you can check wear is by installing it. The manual has a procedure for it with the chain installed.

the wear is from the links contacting the ISS tone wheel under heavy IS loading (slip n grip traction event at high power)

probably should sell the TR's 2.93 1" GMR

Do you see this chain any weaker or would have any problems holding 650-700whp?

oh it'll hold, it still destroys the tone wheel/ISS sensor but the chain survives.... but your still pulling it apart....

the 7/8ths will handle 700whp...provided you dont slipngrip.

11 times we've broke transaxles. dyno's at 608fwhp e85 18psi. this last time we broke it was at 28psi and we spun the slicks at 105mph. IFR shows we woulda been at 700+ whp at the slipngrip
