I hv an 08 base na 245 kms. I just showed a 420 code for cat and I erased the code 3 times but it don't take long to come back and haunt the dash. I changed the cat out about 18 months ago with a walker cat. Seems to me it's a bit excessive to have one last that long. Unless there's something killing it. My icm went on it after it was installed. One thing I've never been able to do is wot from a stop, it just hits the rev limiter in first til I left off completely and get back on it. It did that from day one at a year old when I got it. Couldn't beat a tractor if I tried lol. No codes ever showed up besides 420 and slow evap leak which was the gas cap.

And every once in awhile I get the dreaded slip when taking off from a dead stop. I wonder if a transgo would help and eliminate the shift problem. I'd hate to replace her

Sounds like the trans/torque converter is hurting.

MAF could be an issue, too.

Fix the EVAP solenoid and put a new gas cap on it.

Did you put new o2 sensors in when you replaced the cat? If not, do that. Probably needs new plugs/wires too if the cat was plugged up...but with all the random sh1t you're describing it sounds like there is quite a bit going on.

I didn't change the o2 sensors when I changed the cat. Guess I should have. Plugs i put in were iridium about 60 000 kms ago,w ires are about 2 years old. When I'm driving at any speed and holding that speed, the engine Pulsates but not enough for the tach to register. I remember changing out a black plastic cup behind the gas cap. Maybe I should order some parts from rockauto I guess. Oh, 2 months ago I changed lim gasket and instead of using a torque wrench I just tightened em all up pretty snug. Should i redo this? Somethings telling that my pulsating engine is from my stupid lim job that i torqued down. ĐAnyone elsez gp do that from a dead stop to wot and first gear just wind out til you left off. Thanks
