I'm looking into installing a shift kit. I've seen the ones from Thrasher and Transgo for around $100 and the one from ZZP for $19.99. I'm just curious why the ZZP one is so cheap.

Yup just picked up the transgo kit for 32.95 on eBay last week. Everybody seems really happy with them and for that price why mess with anything else.
ok thanks for the info
I have used Transgo with no issues, Don't expect miracles from the kits though. Might want to install this at the same time, its cheap enough.

I currently have the ZZP PCM and I like how much harder the shifts with that but I want them a little firmer and quicker. I was looking into the shift kit from Intense. I was curious if having really firm shifts is more damaging to the transmission, I've never really dealt with transmission mods before.
Trans go is the best kit IMO. The kits are tougher on the hard parts but help the clutches. It may also help the delayed shift and slamming into gear. you don't want to go too firm on a stock transmission.
Does the Transgo kit allow you to choose from different firmnesses?
In a way, yes you are play with it a little bit.
Different spring combo and different spacer length can determine the firmness but honestly it's not a huge difference.
Transgo kit is nice. I got the one from intense because I already had an order going out with them. No complaints about it. Included scrub pad and grease etc
I prefer the transgo, just don’t like zzp’s plastic spacers. The shift kit is more like preventable maintenance then a performance mod, or maintenance if your trans is already starting to slip.
