I'm replacing all of my lines in my 02 GT. I have new AC Delco transmission cooling lines and also want to replace the fittings that they snap in to on both the radiator and the transmission. I am having a very hard time getting the correct fittings for the radiator.

    I have tried:
    • Dorman p/n 800721 - too large
    • AC Delco p/n 15226661 - to small

I have measured the outer diameter of the threaded portion of my fittings and they appear to 5/8. I don't know if the threads are metric or SAE. The inner diameter is 3/8.

Does anyone know the correct radiator side fittings for the transmission lines?

    Thanks

I know. That's why I ordered the Dorman part first. The threaded portion was just slightly larger than that of the original fittings so they wouldn't work.

Maybe someone else has had this problem?

Sorry for reviving an old thread but replacing the fittings isn’t necessary unless they’re leaking or severely corroded. All I needed was the tool to relieve tension on the retaining clips.
