    Hello Forum Members:

Started vehicle shifted to ‘Drive’ and pulled out of parking spot with no issues. Got to the stop sign, attempted to take off, and car would not move. It was though the tranny was in neutral. Put it in reverse and it backed up fine. Went back to 'Drive', and still nothing. After going through the gears I found that even ‘3rd’ gear will not directly engage. However’ if I shift to ‘1st’ or '2nd' gear and start moving, I can eventually shift to 'Drive' and the tranny engages and operates as normal. When I slow to under 10mph or come to a complete stop, I have to complete the whole process again. Has anyone else ever experienced this? If so, how did you repair the problem?

Forward band broke on you. A common and known failure for sure.

    Requires a rebuild.

you could probably get a used transmission for 250-500 and then get it swapped in for another 600 ish depending on labor cost's, but there is no guarantee it will hold up. if you are stock and do not plan on modding, you can get a TEP trans for like 1600 ish shipped to your door.

this transmission should come with a warranty, then you would just need to get it installed.
