Hello everyone! I have a modded 98 GTP and my transmission is stock other than a trans-go shift kit. I'm looking into zzp's 245mm 2500 stall torque converter. Does anyone here use this or a different one? And will it be safe to run it on a stock transmission?

You are better off sticking with the stock convertor. Usually stock convertor m90 cars will run faster than a car with a higher stall.

Stalls are usually only useful on NA cars or turbo cars.

what post #2 said. Learn what a stall does and you will see why some people run higher.

The thread would make more sense if the title was "high stall converter on a stock engine"

The engine isn't stock... So that wouldn't make sense... Already has a good amount of mods... VS cam set up

    without any mods listed...

IMHO having a higher stall converter does not mean you need a built transmission
however - the requirements for needing a higher stall usually goes hand in hand with needing a built trans
i dont think a VS cam shifts the powerband enough to need one tho - and unless you brake torque every launch .... meh wouldnt bother

They have different stalls on their torque converters based on what you need or want. I have the 2500 stall on a ZZP built transmission.
