Does any one on the forum know if the 80 is bigger than the 75
Will it be the same mounting situation as the 75
Or would I be able to swap the internals

The impala sub frame would bolt up so I would just have to fab motor mounts or vise versa right

The trans axle for the 2012 impala would bolt up to my 06 gp

So would the 2007+ gxp pcm work
it should work with the trans ??

6t70 would hold power nicely and its 2016 and I can't find a 3800/6 auto swap anywhere all the parts are in wbodys already

Once you figure out how the heck you want to control the transmission, let us know.

The GXP still only uses a 4T65e HD 4 speed auto, there is no way that computer could ever run the 3800 nor could it even control a 6 speed transmission. Same with with a 3800 computer, they could never control a 6 speed auto.

That transmission is light years ahead in technology and requires a much faster and complex controller to power it. The only way I see this working is if somehow you buy a seperate stand alone transmission controller that you can program to run that 6 speed auto.

Keep in mind that you will lose a lot of self-diagnostic capability.
And you may still have driveability issues with the TCM and PCM not really communicating with load values which is a primary part of drivability
