    Transgo kit does not come with the seals, but the Intense kit does and I believe has more springs and spacers .

    Hey guys, I just completed the transmission swap, but I'm definitely having some electrical issues. My main concern is in the starter area. I need to figure out the wiring near the starter and which goes where.

    Here is information that may stimulate...After owning a 97 GTP for 90K and giving it to my daughter I had occasion to then perform a "simple" trans fluid drain on a Mercedes C 63 -7 speed automatic. Don't dial out. I'm not a elitest. There may be a lesson in the (?anal-retentive?) procedure MB mandates for a drain. Specifically, the final fill level. BTW that IS a sweet shifting tranny...

    Anyway, instead of a simple drain plug, the drain plug opening is shrouded inside with a removable plastic tube whose top will determine the proper level of the trans fluid. To drain you reach in and dislodge the tube so the fluid can exit the drain hole. Once the pan is off it looks conventional. One installs the new tube over the drain hole, replaces filter and installs the pan. A specific fill quantity is added through an external, temporary fitting on the drain hole. Then the engine is run until a specific fluid temperature is reached. At that point the "whole" (overfill) fluid exits briefly through the open drain hole until air bubbles appear out the drain hole (surface of the fluid). The target temp is checked, and if met, the transmission is considered "full." Now fit the drain plug. If the temp is missed the tech is expected to backup and recover. ( I jerry rigged fittings and used a Harbor Frieght pump..the MB just smiled.) It is doubtful your friendly MB dealer lacks proper tools, perhaps only a doubt the fluid is even changed.

    Why is this mentioned? Because although GM does mandate a level area, cleanliness and operating temp as key components to a fluid change, "fill level" may be treated lightly by the GP community. Experts should chime in on the MB procedure. BTW I also drained 3 liters from the MB torque converter.
