Alright! I have my XP, ported heads, double roller, 2.8 IC, ported lower build in. The car pulls harder than the stock heads and 1.9 rockers build it had before I snapped the input shaft.

    https://youtu.be/gsnhfXFXXRo

My issue is that I drove the car normal the day after first start with the tune it had in it before and everything was okay. I then decided to romp on it and the 2-3 shift at WOT has a shudder/slip. The kick down from 3rd to 1st and then when it was time for 2nd it was horrendous and I had to let off. It was an extreme shudder/slip. Since then even at part to moderate throttle it has a has a shudder from 1-2. Today I upped the 1st-3rd table 15 psi. It has firmed up the 1-2 shift at part/moderate accel. If you go anymore it will shudder and vibrate the steering wheel its that bad. 3rd gear going in at wot has not changed. I did install a new 30OM shaft, pcs, tcc, valve body gaskets and channel plate gaskets. Mind you this is a 170k trans I have no history on...

I highly doubt new 1-2 and 2-3 shift solenoids along with a cheep shift kit will fix this. What do others think?

I got 249k out of the original 1 until I snapped the input shaft lol. This 170k I have no history on. You can go wot in 1st and it's fine along with a 2nd gear highway pull. So it definitely holds the gear fine once it's in. Along with 3rd gear if your going 85 out of the kick down zone and got wot it holds 3rd fine too.

    Wide Open Throttle

What did you end up doing about the little filter issue?
Did you torque the two oddball bolts on the VB to their higher than all others spec?
Did you get the spacer plate and VB/Channel plate perfectly clean?
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I installed 2 new filters. I torqued everything to spec. Everything was perfectly clean. The other morning on cold start I left the house and say you accelerate a bith so it hangs out to shift into 2nd at 4000rpm is was decently firm. When it heats up it will shudder pretty good if you try that exact thing again. Its heat dependent it seems.

With heat comes the ability for a leak.

Ok.. so everything is to spec and it's all clean. How did you hold the channel plate gaskets in place when you put it back on?

I used tiny dabs of grease to hold the paper gaskets in place.
