Hey guys, I just recently bought a 99 gtp. Anytime I drive the car normal, it shifts ok, still kinda hard. When I give it a lot of gas, it shifts really hard almost as it's jerking the whole car. The guy I bought it off of, just had the torque converter and flywheel replaced and fluid exchanged. Any ideas? Maybe a tranny or motor mount?

have it scanned after it acts up, do not turn the car off, scan it running still. you should have a pending code for max adapt shift. if you do a shift kit is a good bandaid for it.

i have a trans tune, and a shift kit. it does shift firmer, but not like its shaking the car apart. just a snappy shift.

I'm not sure about the thrasher shift kit, but other kits have firmness levels. the transmission I have, and the shift settings in my computer will chirp the tires on a 1-2 shift when the pedal is pushed down all the way, which you can probably imagine is a hard shift.

Maybe it's normal. I'm thinking it's the thrasher shift kit.

your power level should be there, maybe if you had some transmission work done, or a more aggressive trans tune. my shift time is .0125 in pe mode
