I may not have understood everyone correctly, but does that mean that a 99 trans from a 3.8 is not a direct interchange to a 2002 with a 3.8?

You need to look to see if you have threaded transmission lines or the click style. If they are not threaded, they are click. If they are click, then you are interchangeable.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I bought a trans from Triple Edge but it came with the older style threaded fittings. The older trans took 9/16x18 and 5/8x18 fittings size. I do not know what year the trans came from.

My 04 GT had screw in adapters with quick disconnects fittings for 3/8 lines. Both feed and return were the same thread size (although one is short and the other long).

I ended up having to buy Dorman 800-605 and Dorman 800-619 connectors to adapt my quick connect fittings on my 04 GP lines to the older screw trans. Took me a long time to figure this one out. Hope it helps someone else out.
04 GP GT- top swap, VS cam, 2.8 pulley, E85, headers, 60 injectors, TEP 3:29 trans, Racelogic Traction Control, ZZP dyno tuned.

OK, I read through the sticky, and didnt see an answer for my problem. My daughter wrecked her 2000 GP, then went out and picked up a real nice 99 with a bad motor. So, I have yanked the good motor out of the 2000 (with tranny), and stuffed it back into the 99. The fittings for the tranny cooler lines for the radiator ends were too big, so I went to swap them with the lines off the old motor-and that doesnt seem to work either. Is there a quick and easy fix to get lines that will fit the 2000 tranny (with check valve) and the 99 radiator?

I might add that they are both 3.8GTs. The 2000 is a 4 door and the 99 is a coupe.
