Hey guys, I have a 2001 GTP. Just recently it started doing something odd, the whole car seems to shake pretty bad under light acceleration from say a stop light. You can feel it in the floor and pedal assembly most, but its very noticeable. It only happens up hills if it goes to O/D or when I have people in my car. It only happens at low RPM, say 1500-2100 and not always, like I said only under heavy load. It doesn't happen at highway speeds, nor does it happen up hills if I keep RPM high. There isn't any loss in power, and it doesn't happen at the shift point unless incredibly light throttle. I have a few ideas, but I need you guys for some input. Motor/engine mounts? Trans mounts?

When I drive alone, it doesn't happen. My dad guessed the bands in the trans are going, but it isn't slipping at all. It doesn't feel like its internal trans at all. Any help would be great though, thanks!

I'm currently battling the same issue on my 02 GTP, at 30mph under light throttle when the TC engages I sometimes get a shake in the front end. It does not feel like torque converter shudder, feels more like a misfire. Have you checked for vacuum leaks?

Check the two plastic T's, one under the snout of the S/C and one on the fuel rail. They tend to crack or break and can cause the engine to run poorly and shake under load. I checked these on mine and also did a full tune up, however I think my motor mounts are the contributing factor.

To summarize, start by checking the plugs/wires/vacuum lines/etc
    also check the mounts
have you changed the trans fluid + filter?
