Re: converting from automatic to manual
Ok, would I be right to assume there will be less modding to fit in the getrag 5 speed? They came in my body style but the 3800 didn't. I'd rather do that for the cost efficiency. I go to work and school full time too :P
I just want to do this because I had to get rid of my trans am race car I built and I love my replacement gp, but I feel a lack of power and pedals haha
Re: converting from automatic to manual
Yes, from what I hear the 5 speed fits a little better.

too bad your build will be slow! i did the SSM90 setup in about an hour. then realized the terrible belt wrap with the offset pulley and went with the L67 pulley setup and gotten more out of it now then i could ever dreamed! well i will once the summer break ends and i get back to school to finish my car up. shootin for ~330 at the wheels.

Re: converting from automatic to manual
hey i have a 95 grand prix se and i was thinking of swapping my tranny to a manual, i was thinking the 5 speed from a lumina but wouldnt i have to swap to a 3.4, or is there any way i can keep my 3.1 and swap trans? also i was wondering if there was a mount that would let me hookup 2 alternators as i will be needing 2 with about 250 amps each, i am building a show car. any information on the tranny and alt helps, thanks all.
