tip on the airbag. being ive had them off many times. turn the wheel sideways, then from top the column, stuff the largest screw driver that fits in one hole, twist it and pull that corner of the air bag till it lifts a bit, (its unlocked now) now the tricky part, keep pulling on that corner while you work the other hole on that side and pull it up as well, once you got both clips free on one side, start the engine turn the wheel so both holes are up top again, the free side will stay free unless you push it back down then it locks fast on ya, then repeat for the other two.

That's exactly what I did (and was going to do), but just couldn't get any of the airbag clips unlocked. I had a mirror back there and could see the rod that I had to move. Heck, the spare wheel gave me all the clue's I needed. LOL
I'll give it another go when I have time, or feel the need to raise my blood pressure. LOL

Washed up the Bonneville for trunk or treat tonight then decorated it. Turned out a lot better than I thought it would.

I'm at 398,300KM. Should hit 400,000KM in a month or so.
Last week my buddy gave my car some love. He did some investigating for my "no start when warm"; replaced the fuel pressure regulator and she starts like a beaut.

Driving down a busy thouroughfare today and the GXP went "You ain't goin' knowwhere b*tch!" And @ 40mph my brakes clamped down hard. Had to pull over and wait for all the 'Service Traction Control System' notifications to engage so i could be positive that the TC was turned off. That's just obnoxious...

Spent all night working on my brothers 01 GT, with his help. Replaced the rack, high pressure line and front sway/endlinks. Had to cut one of the outer tie rods off with a sawzall as it just wouldn't give up. Luckily we found out it needed new outers anyway so no loss there. Get it all back together and I noticed a faint smell of fuel. Pulled on the rear connection to the rail and fuel dripped out. FML. Now I have to hunt down o-rings and fix that before we can test/bleed the PS. Guess it's better than it burning down but damn...
Tomorrow will begin the teardown to do the LIM/UIM routine once I get the suspension back in line and the fuel issue resolved. My brother wants to learn how to do it himself so I'm going to sit in my chair and just tell him what/when to remove things. Hopefully the air ratchet will speed things up.

Saturday morning, woke up to a flat left front tire. It has a slow leak, so maybe it finally gave up. It was pissing rain, so I went out, put air in it, and rolled the car back a foot; figured maybe I parked on the sweet spot. Went out for an hour or so, and when I got home, the tire had lost 4psi. Ok, I'll keep an eye on it. Sunday I wake up with plans of pulling the tire/wheel and checking for leaks. Nope. All air in in-tact. . Oh well. Now that the sun is out and the rain has parted, I decided to look at my LED fog lights; they don't always turn on, sometimes they come on dim, sometimes they work just fine. Of course when I turn them on, they are working fine. Checked for obvious things like connections, but they worked fine. Turned them on/off 175 times, and they worked like they should. Screw it. Shut the hood! I'm done. I then looked at some led's that I had recently installed. They appeared to be backfeeding and causing some issues. I installed a diode, and nothing changed. Great. Put the wiring back to the way it was. I'm done. What a waste of time. I went inside and cleaned the house. That never lets me down. LOL
