Ok so I have a 2.25 inch intercooler and I was mainly concerned with the clearance issues... I don't want to do cradle spacers as I'm already lowered, and I was curious as to what exactly was needed... Does the alternator NEED to be removed? And do I really need that turn down adapter, I'm not trying to be cheap I just don't believe in paying or modding things I don't have to, I have an inferno hood that I just painted today so that should give me some hood clearance right? Zzp and w body store both kinda like to sell you things that you don't really need, I'm going to have to give them some money for the intake because 220 bucks for the machining and porting seems like a pretty good deal, but like the fuel rails? 10 bucks from a junkyard and a local performance shop cut them, and then fitted a section of stainless to bridge the gap, 30 bucks not 150 or whatever.. I work with fiberglass so modifying the hood seems like the easiest option if it's even necessary (I didn't paint the bottom yet just in case... Or could I shim the hood a tad then shim my fenders to match? How much clearance do we need to gain? I have access to a machine shop so.. Maybe I should shave a 1/16th off each side of the core housing? I think the turn down adapter and the alt relocation stuff def doesent look the greatest in the engine bay... Also using rtv for the s/c gaskets and intake gasket should gain another 3/16th maybe? And don't say not to the speed shop owner swears by it, says just about every gasket in his 7.90 bracket car is rtv, and he's spraying about a 750 shot.
