    Hi all,

I'm planning on replacing plugs and plug wires on my 08 base model soon and was wondering if anyone had a step by step guide, specifically for the method of removing the dog bones and rocking the engine to get to the rear plugs.

    Thanks!

    1. Remove dog bones.
    2. Attach ratchet strap hook to radiator mount and engine bracket.
    3. Crank dat.
    4. Remove a single plug wire from its spark plug.
    5. Remove spark plug.
    6. Replace spark plug with new one.
    7. Remove that spark plug wire and replace with new one that looks just like it.
    8. Repeat steps 3-6 until you run out of spark plugs and wires.
    9. Remove ratchet strap.
    10. Replace dog bones.
    11. Beer.
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

If the wires are old enough, expect the wires to pull out of the boots/possibly get some bloody knuckles. Dental floss (wrapping it around the plug boot) works well if you get the engine forward enough and can read it decently easy.
